ON THE DOORSTEP
From here you can enjoy everything the region has to offer. The nearest town, Loches, known as the Capital of South Touraine has two castles on its ‘Royal City’ hilltop – one Medieval the other Renaissance. There are twice weekly as well as other street markets, numerous cafés, and cultural events throughout the year.
OUT AND ABOUT
Touraine has great outdoor possibilities; walking, cycling, swimming, canoeing, golf, or bird-watching, to name a few, with luck under a cloudless sky (summers can be hot, whilst autumn often extends well into winter, giving all year round possibilities!)
LOCATION
La Masserie is situated some 25 km (or 15 miles) southeast of the city of Tours. The A10 Paris to Bordeaux intersects here with the west to east A85 Nantes to Vierzon motorway. From Junction 10 on the A85, the property is a short drive, down through Cormery, in the Loches direction on the D943.
